Sometimes I come across an element that interests me to no end.  For what ever reason, this motel sign was just that.  I think it has to do with the character in things that have experienced life.  There is something tragically beautiful in things that are forgotten and old.  Being a nation of consumerism....we do just that all the time.  The funnest part of doing my old people series wasn't the end result but rather the time I got to spend with people who have lived life.  People who had experienced the greatest joys and the deepest sorrows that shaped so much of who they are today.  The...

I got a chance to shoot the band Beta Wolf before they went to Japan to play the Summer Sonic Festival.  They are some really great guys who genuinely love life, music and people.  The shoot was in light of billboard promotions in Japan for the festival.  It was pretty exciting doing a shoot knowing that it is for a billboard.  Right now Beta Wolf is on their way to Japan.  Hope you guys kill it in Japan!

I got the opportunity to do a really cool story for OC Weekly about the surf ghetto in San Clemente. Among the people I got to photograph was Matt Biolos (cover shot) owner of Lost. I also got to meet interesting characters and genuine people. I love shooting stories like this because there is so much life out there that we don't know about. So many people who if it were not for assignments like this, I would never get to meet. This shoot was a ton of fun. Looking forward to my next shoot for OC Weekly!
